Biography:
Craig Paterson is the SVP Specialty Operations at GM Financial. His various roles at GM Financial include: VP of Servicing, Outsourcing and Vendor Management, VP of Vendor Compliance, and VP of Collection.
He holds a BS in Business from Bowling Green State University.

Mark J. Cavin

Biography:
Mark Cavin is currently with the CFPB. His role is Debt Collections Market Senior Fellow; Office of Consumer Credit, Payments, and Deposits Markets; Division of Research, Markets & Regulations. Mark is a seasoned Financial Services Executive with 41-years of experience in Consumer, Commercial and Student Loan sales and servicing operations, portfolio management and organizational compliance for Banks, ARM Originators, 1st and 3rd Party Collection Agency and Legal Networks Management and has worked at four of the largest Debt Buyers both domestically and internationally.

Mark previously held senior level positions with Union Bank of California, Arrow Financial Services, Sallie Mae, Asset Acceptance Corp., Jefferson Capital Systems and was the Founder and CEO of Collection Intelligence "Ci" LLC., an ARM and Compliance Consulting firm representing Banks, Credit Card Originators', State and Federal Regulatory Agencies as well as near-shore and offshore serving organizations. Mark speaks at industry conference's as well as community-based fund-raising events both nationally and internationally. Mark attended Cleveland State University and Graduate Studies in Asset Management, at Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Mark is active in community-based volunteer services in the areas of Community HealthCare, Education and Well Being. Served as the Chairman of the Foundation Board, Family Health Centers of San Diego; Vice President of the Hispanic Banker's Association, San Diego Chapter; Executive Sponsor Chair, United Way; Volunteer's for refugee missions, Center for Peace West, Mary's Hands and through St Vincent De Paul Society. He has received the JC Penny Community and White House Distinguished Community awards in 1999, Spirit of the Barrio Community award, Family Health Centers of San Diego, in 2001 and Hispanic Bankers Association, Appreciation award for education fundraising.



Jason Godwin
Southeast Toyota Finance

Biography:
Jason Godwin is the Director of Collections for Southeast Toyota Finance. He has 23 years of captive automotive finance experience encompassing all aspects of operational and servicing activities. His current role includes overseeing pre and post charge-off loss mitigation efforts along with all special collection's activity. Jason holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of South Alabama.



Michael Hollis

Biography:
Michael Hollis is Vice President, Operations for Southeast Toyota Finance. He has 28 years of captive automotive finance experience. In his Vice President role, his oversight encompasses strategic initiatives to further enhance overall efficiency, customer and dealer experience, and loss mitigation, including responsibilities ranging from customer service, collections, and lease processing. He holds his MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.



Chris Straiter

Biography:
Chris Straiter is the Director, Asset Loss Management for BECU in Washington State. His responsibilities include leadership of the Internal Recovery, Agency Outsourcing, as well as Bankruptcy, Foreclosure/REO, and Legal collections teams. Prior to joining BECU, Chris was the CCO at Sentry Credit, Inc. an ARM firm based out of Everett, WA, with responsibilities including Compliance, Voice Analytics, Complaint Management and Quality Assurance. Chris' previous roles have included managing agency performance for a number of 3rd party collection agency relationships with American Express, focusing on operational improvements, collector and leader development, and enhancing controls and compliance.

Prior to joining American Express, Chris was an important part of the consulting, audit and conference operation at Resource Management Services, Inc., where he helped develop and present their Recovery Management Strategies and Techniques sessions, as well as developing conference content and various client operational audits. His recovery management experience began at Bank of America. His 13 year tenure there included ATM Risk Management, Agency Liaison, and extensive experience in Agency Audit and Agency Performance Management. Chris maintains a CRCP certification from RMAi.
